Support a family to start a project of their own

Most families in rual areas are struggling to take care of their children due to absolute poverty. And yet if empowered, families can generate daily income and will be in position to take care of the food, clothings, medical care, education for their children, shelter among others. Support a family to have a decent home

Mt. Elgon Project Self-Help Community Project provides shelter for OVC households in the areas where we operate. Most of the people in rural areas sleep in grass thatched houses that  are in poor condition, and the use of cow dung as floor cement provides a ground for the breeding of insects like Chiggers. We build new houses, repair old, build pit latrines, bath shelters and kitchen facilities.

$4.500 is just enough to build a simple and decent home for one family. Click here to donate

Community Projects: The community needs information and skills in areas such as personal hygiene, HIV-AIDS prevention, malaria prevention projects, parenting skills, breastfeeding, first-aid training, family planning, nutrition, soil conservation, farming, business skills, small business empowerment for vulnerable families and many more projects. $250 can help to arrange one community meeting or training on the above mentioned support this project, please email us here

Construction of Schools: Most children in our communities study under the shade trees or in poor shelters. Teachers are forced to terminate classes during rainy seasons to allow children go home, and this affects the learning process. $500 can build one class room that accommodates 40 pupils. to support this project, please kindly email us here.
